Primary School Open House and Registration Dates

The Department of Education wishes to advise parents and guardians that registration for students who are eligible to enter  Primary 1 (P1)  in September 2020 will take place on February 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2020. 

Primary schools will hold an Open House on one or more days during February 17th, 18th and 19th, 2020.  Parents are strongly encouraged to attend Open House to gain firsthand information and insights about our primary schools.  A schedule of school Open House dates will be provided in due course.

The Department also recognizes that informal school and community conversations have taken place in relation to the implementation of a Foundation (Reception) Year for September 2020.  "We can advise that a Foundation Year will not be implemented in September 2020."

Parents of students already registered in a Bermuda Public School System Preschool will receive a pre-printed form from the Department of Education prior to the registration period.  These forms will be sent home from your child's school for you to make any changes and to return to your FIRST CHOICE PRIMARY SCHOOL no later than 3:30pm on February 26, 2020.  Forms will then be collected and delivered to the Department of Education.
