• To promote and maintain the interest of staff and students in safety and health issues
• To help to make safety and health activities an integral part of the schools operating procedures, culture and programmes
• To provide opportunities for discussions around safety and health and possible solutions
• To inform and educate staff about safety and health issue, new standards research and findings
• To help to reduce risk or workplace injuries and illnesses
• To help ensure compliance with safety and health guidelines for the Island
• To meet monthly conduct monthly inspections of the facility, document and report any safety and health concerns.
