Enables all students ages 11-12 in their first year of middle school to build their confidence and develop skills during a 5-day experiential learning programme based on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math, or STEAM concepts through sailing including learning about wind measurement and wind power, sail area and sailing geometry, buoyancy, and sailing fundamentals. Students also learn about Bermuda’s rich maritime heritage, increase their awareness about the importance of good health and nutrition and enhance their appreciation for Bermuda’s natural and marine environments.
